Alright, so when two point sources of light are "in sync" (har har...there's the pun) they create an interference pattern like this.
Thanks for mentioning this...I wasn't sure if people were getting it. I will soon start another section of the blog explaining the science (or lack thereof) behind the comics! Fun(ny) AND educational!
Hey! No worries! It would actually be a good idea to explain the science behind the jokes anyway, as some stuff you wouldn't get if you haven't learned about it in some way. Plus I find science fantabulistic. (new word which I just made up...sweeeet).
Do I know you or did you just come across the comic?

Yes, you may want to add scientific explanations below the comics for some of the folk who are majoring in English... :-)
